One big mystery

There are places that feel extraordinary as soon as you approach them. Cloud's Hill, that was Lawrence of Arabia's home in Dorset, is one such example.

You can just sense something spiritual about them.

Now the National Trust has published a book that explores some its sites across Britain that are regarded as sacred places.

Shell shock at two-headed tortoise

A two-headed tortoise has come out of its shell in Dorset to find itself in the media spotlight.

The unusual case of a Mediterranean spur-thighed tortoise, born two months ago in an incubator, made the headlines in various papers on Friday.

Stormy weather
