Events: Smugglers, Pirates and Heritage - 9th - 10th July 201

From 9th to 10th July 2011, discover the true tales of smugglers and pirates from long ago at the historic Old Town Hall, Weymouth. Come and find out who they were, what they did and their part in the history of the Old Town Hall and Weymouth. Find out about the smugglers around the coast of Weymouth through Georgian and Victorian times, all at the Old Town Hall in the heart of old Weymouth.

This is also an opportunity to see how the renovations are progressing. Admission is free to the Hall, but donations are gratefully received towards the renovation of this Grade II Listed Building.

You may also like to take in a Victorian Magic Lantern Show from 5pm both days at the Old Town Hall (charge applies) or go on a smugglers tour (bookable through the T.I.C.).

Booking Information: Not required for displays, but Victorian Magic Lantern Shows can be booked at the Hall.

Cost: Admission is free to the Hall, but donations welcome.
  • Smuggling Tours* -  (Adults £5. Children £2 – bookable through T.I.C. or purchased from Weymouth Old Town Hall on the day).
- Starting at Old Town Hall: 11am & 2pm (finishes at Stone Pier, Nothe).
- Starting at Stone Pier, Nothe:  12 noon & 3pm (finishes at Old Town Hall).
